If you are using pipette tips that don’t come in racks, check out this pipette tip sorting device on thingiverse that makes aligning and inserting the tips much much easier.
The 3D print is designed for 10 µL Sarstedt pipette tips (order no. 701130) and the design also requires an iron rod or nails with a diameter of 1 mm for the hinge, as well as four magnets with a diameter of 3 mm and a height of 2 mm as detailed in the thingiverse write up .
